This is the Oliver Standard Visible Writer, Model No. 5. It is an early version, but not the first. It does have a tabulator but lacks a back spacer. This particular specimen does not have any 'tick' marks or '10' inscribed on the movable tab stops as they are in later machines.
Also of note, this machine has molded celluloid key covers that fit over blank keys. I am missing the covers for the 'W' and 'R' keys and am looking to replace them.
